Description

Jorrit Leenaarts obtained his master’s degree in 2003 and his PhD cum laude in 2007 at the Institute of Astronomy at Utrecht University. After his PhD he worked as a postdoc at the Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics of the University of Oslo and as a researcher at Utrecht University. In January 2014 he started as an associate professor at the Institute for Solar Physics at Stockholm University, where he leads a group studying the physics of the solar atmosphere using a combination of observations and numerical simulations.
