Description

I work as associated professor in the field of HCI at DSV. Lately I have become interested in the dialectical relationship between literacy and technology from critical media literacy and participatory media literacies. In my work I have a particular focus on design, adoption and use of technologies for reflective, collaborative and social purposes.

In relation with artistic technologies, I am interested in describing and explaining the role of technology in mediating different forms of participation that become possible in the 21st century.

My work has been published in well-known international peer-review journals such as Interacting with Computers, Computers and Education, The Internet and higher education, Nordic Journal of Digital Literacy and Journal of mobile and blended learning. I am reviewer of journals such as International Journal of Human-Computer Studies; Designs for Learning; Language, Learning and Technology; New Media and Society; International Journal of Learning, Media and Technology; Revue Européenne de Psychologie Appliquée/European Review of Applied Psychology among others.

I have conducted and participated in several national and international research projects funded by the Swedish Research Council, Vinnova, NordForsk and EU. Currently, I am involved in the project PLACES funded by the Swedish Research Council and in the project Digital cultural consumption funded by UNSAM (Universidad de San Martin) in Argentina.
