Eva Berglund disputerade 1999 i Psykologi med avhandlingen " Early communicative and language development in Swedish children - Methods, results, clinical implications and prospects for the future." Hon har forskat kring språkbedömningsinstrument, språkscreening, språkutveckling hos barn med Down syndrom, gester och samspel föräldrar-barn. Just nu arbetar hon med en litteraturstudie (finns på Youtube) som rör tidig språkutveckling ur ett antal olika perspektiv.
