PhD student Ida Viklund


Ida Viklund joined the Department of Sociology as a graduate student in March 2013. She has a Degree of Master of Political Sciences with Economics as main subject at Uppsala University (2010). She studies parental leave use in Sweden and other Nordic countries, and investigates demographic and economic consequences of parental leave. The research is based on register data. She is currently involved in a study that investigates the development of parental leave lengths and preschool start related to socioeconomic factors. Ida is affiliated with the Linnaeus Center on Social Policy and Family Dynamics in Europe (SPaDE), and the Stockholm University SIMSAM Node for Demographic Research (SUNDEM).
