Work and Organizational Psychology has a long and strong tradition in the Nordic countries and has traditionally focussed on work environment issues such as psychosocial working conditions, meaningfulness and influence at work for example. The focus on intervention and evaluation of Work and Organizational initiative has also been important in the Nordic research tradition. The aim of the Scandinavian Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (SJWOP) is to contribute to a better working life based on high-quality research. The journal seeks to publish papers covering the important issues in working life on all levels, including the societal, the organizational and the individual level. The journal also encourages research combining two or more of these levels and we invite empirical as well as theoretical, methodological and review manuscripts. The SJWOP is newly started and is an online, open access journal. The plan is to publish at least 12 peer-reviewed articles per year, starting 2016. The journal will be published by Stockholm University Press. The journal has one Editor-in-Chief, Associate professor Erik Berntson and three Associate Editors (Claudia Bernhard-Oettel, Saija Mauno och Thomas Clausen). In addition, there is an active Editorial board assisting in marketing the journal, attracting submissions and assisting the review process. The Editorial board comrise many distingusihed researchers such as Gunnar Aronsson, Töres Theorell, Tuija Muhonen, Kristina Westerberg, Magnus Sverke, Ulla Kinnunen, Siw Tone Innstrand, Nele De Cuyper, Thomas Rigotti, och Arla Day.
